Recently joining our team, Dr. Hodges is excited to meet and form relationships with his young patients as well as their families. He has a deep passion for pediatric dentistry and strives to put a smile on each child’s face. He believes that pediatric dentists have a unique opportunity to impact the lives of so many children and provide education on dental hygiene that will serve them for a lifetime. Before you bring your favorite smile to meet him, you can learn more about Dr. Hodges below.
Dr. Hodges always had a passion for healthcare thanks to having a father who is in medicine and a grandad who was a dentist. During his years at the University of Mississippi, his own pediatric dentist back in Dallas would continue to push him to pursue a career as a pediatric dentist. In fact, in the summer before beginning dental school, his passion for pediatric dentistry was solidified after having the opportunity to work for his childhood dentist.
Dr. Hodges obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. After graduation, he enrolled in the Texas A&M College of Dentistry Pediatric Program, where he spent two years practicing and training at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, and numerous other outreach clinics. This enabled him to earn his certificate in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Hodges is in the process of becoming a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist and is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentists.
When he is not in the office, Dr. Hodges and his wife (a fellow pediatric dentist) love to spend time with family and friends. He is an avid sports fan and likes to attend all kinds of events, especially for his alma mater, Ole Miss! He enjoys getting out to play golf and hunt whenever he can. He and his wife are also constantly thinking about new places to travel to and visit.
